MFWP will participate in these forums as appropriate to represent MFWP perspectives and to provide information and analyses of current MFWP activities. Key regional forums may include, but are not limited to, Regional Coordination Forum, meetings of the Northwest Power and Conservation Council (NPCC), interfaces with the Independent Scientific Review Panel (ISRP), Columbia Basin mitigation forums of the US Army Corps of Engineers (COE), the Regional Implementation Oversight Group (RIOG), Technical Management Team, the Pacific Northwest Aquatic Monitoring Partnership (PNAMP), and all similarly relevant venues with particular emphasis on resident fish mitigation. These MWFP regional coordination funds will support the following tasks: Continue to facilitate technical committees that support collaboration and coordination among fish and wildlife managers, BPA staff, Northwest Power and Conservation Council staff, and ISAB/RP: Resident Fish Focus Workgroup – continue the effort to develop monitoring strategies for bull trout, westslope cutthroat trout, and white sturgeon; provide a forum for professional collaboration among fisheries biologists; and provide an opportunity to keep our staff informed of activities that affect resident fish within the Columbia River Basin Four State Coordination Workgroup - communication and coordination among fish and wildlife management agencies in Montana, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington Piscicide Technical Committee - participate and provide leadership in the science-based use of piscicides for conservation of native resident fishes Fish Health Committee - coordination with neighboring states and provinces on transboundary fish health and disease issues Fish Screen Oversight Committee - continue the effort to facilitate collaboration among fish screening professionals for sharing and learning that has been valuable in the past$48,40039.81%07/01/202306/30/2024
